Tree Academy was born from an idea… it’s what we’d have wanted when we started our careers.
As seasoned arborists ourselves, we saw a growing need for accessible, high-quality education tailored specifically to the arboricultural industry. The world of tree care is constantly evolving and yet, many skilled professionals lacked opportunities to deepen their knowledge, advance their careers, or stay ahead of industry standards.
That’s why we created TAO - a dedicated platform offering expert led courses and personalised mentoring designed to elevate arborists at every stage of their journey. Whether you’re starting out or seeking to refine advanced skills and techniques, our goal is to help you advance, build confidence and get you where you want to be faster.
Meet TAO founder Jon Kiely
Jon has over 30 years’ experience in practical and professional arboriculture. He is a Chartered Environmentalist and Fellow member of the Arboricultural Association. His research, presentations and publications on trees, planning and development have helped set new benchmarks for tree consultants.
Jon represents TAO on the British Standards Institution B/213 Trees committee, and on the BS5837 technical committee. He is also chairing the revision of BS3998.
Over the past couple of years he’s been refining the Effective Arboricultural Impact Assessment material, and working as a mentor for several tree consultants and companies.
